Eric Simone – CEO
Eric Simone has over twenty-two years of experience in the computer industry. He founded Compete, Inc. in 1994 along with two other IBM colleagues. Compete focused on providing consulting services for IBM’s WebSphere brand of software products. While Eric served as President and CTO, Compete grew to over $12MM in revenues, and was sold to Perficient, Inc. (PRFT NASDAQ) for $60MM in May 2000. The acquisition of Compete introduced the IBM relationship to Perficient, a core component of their business today. Mr. Simone served as a Director of Perficient before founding ClearBlade in 2007. Mr. Simone graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science from Purdue University in 1988.
Corby James – President
Corby James is a 20 year professional services veteran with deep experience in both technology and management consulting. Prior to joining ClearBlade, Corby was the VP of Operations for Ascendant Technology. Prior to Ascendant, Corby served at Chief Technology Officer for Austin Software Foundry (ASF). As part owner of ASF, he assisted in seeking out an acquisition strategy to allow for necessary growth. ASF was a $3 million software and consulting firm which was acquired by Noblestar in 1998. His career in IT consulting also includes roles as Senior Manager at Deloitte and Touche Consulting Group and Unisys. Corby holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston.
Maurie James – Chief Operations Officer
Maurie james has over 24 years of experience in systems engineering and software development. She was responsible for creating a technology focused practice for Deloitte and Touche Consulting Group. The core of this group later became the services arm for Austin Software Foundry. As part owner of Austin Software Foundry, (ASF) and Managing Director of the services arm, she assisted in seeking out an acquisition strategy to allow for necessary growth. ASF was a $3 million software and consulting firm which was acquired by Noblestar in 1998. Maurie James holds a BBA in Data Processing and Analysis (MIS) from the University of Texas in Austin, TX.
