  • EGL is the culmination of many years of IBM research and development in the area of rapid application development, and is designed to simplify the implementation of modern application systems that meet the expecations of their users who demand ease of access to information and services and friendliness of latest computer interfaces such as web browsers and portals that combine disparate business information into cohesive logical frameworks with unified task oriented interactions.

By converting valuable legacy VAGen application assets to EGL, IT organizations can extend the useful life of their investments, achieving new levels of responsiveness and flexibility while delivering state-of-the-art solution to their business.

In this IBM-ClearBlade joint Webcast we will explore the value of EGL for VisualAge Generator users and discuss the process of converting the VAGen applications to EGL and adopting the new Rational Business Developer workbench.
