ClearBlade 2025.3.0 Ghost Product Release

On October 1, 2025, ClearBlade released version 2025.3.0 (Ghost) of our IoT software. This version introduces significant new features and enhancements to IoT Enterprise and Intelligent Assets. Explore the key features below.

IoT Enterprise and Edge

HTTP mTLS: Devices are now able to use mTLS to authenticate with the majority of HTTP endpoints available in IoT Enterprise, providing another secure and simplified option to interact with REST APIs. In addition, APIs are now provided to create and manage Environment Root CAs, System Level Intermediate CAs, and client certificates that are leveraged by mTLS.

SFTP File Store: Easily configure a secure connection to an SFTP Server using a password or public key authentication method. Once configured, you can read and write files and directories directly from a ClearBlade Code or Stream Service.

MQTT to Google Cloud Big Query Connector: A new native MQTT connector is available, simplifying the integration with Google Cloud Big Query. MQTT messages received on the configured topic can now directly be written to a Google Cloud Big Query Table, including support for customizable batch writing.

MQTT to any ClearBlade External Database Connector: All ClearBlade External Database Connections can be configured with an MQTT Connector, allowing all MQTT messages received on the configured topic written directly to the database, with no need to write a Code Service.

Customizable JWT Expiration Period: The max expiration time for JWTs can now be customized per System, with a max value of 90 days possible.

Gzip Native Code Library: Gzip compression and decompression is now natively supported in Code Services.

MQTT 5 User Properties to Google Pub/Sub Attributes: Any User Properties included on MQTT 5 published messages will now automatically be added as attributes to the Google Cloud Pub/Sub Message.

Intelligent Assets

Metadata Attribute Type: Customize how Asset information is displayed with the metadata attribute type. It provides a compact view of key/value data on the Asset Details page, making important details quick to scan.

OIDC Login: To simplify login and strengthen security, Intelligent Assets now supports OIDC authentication. Connect your OIDC provider for secure, centralized login with features like auto-registration, role and group mapping, and support for SSO and MFA. Read more about this feature here.

Custom Action Types: You can now create custom action types with fields tailored to your workflows and destination system for greater flexibility.

Customizable Navigation Menu: The new Main Menu settings let you fully customize your system’s navigation. Rename, reorder, or hide pages, add custom pages, and group them into multi-content pages. Set destinations to built-in pages, such as dashboards, or external links, and update icons to match your system’s look and feel. Plots Enhancements: The new Asset History Plots feature in ClearBlade Intelligent Assets makes analyzing data easier and more flexible. You can compare multiple assets on the same plot, assign custom line colors to attributes, and add statistical attributes to display summary stats directly on graphs. Asset Archiving: Archive and manage assets directly from the platform.

Auto Logoff Setting: To enhance security and protect data, you can now configure a system setting to control automatic user logoff.

Tab Settings for Asset Types: The Asset Details page is now more customizable with sub-tab configuration. In the asset type edit modal, use Tab Settings to reorder or rename tabs, or add external links that integrate plugins and micro frontends (MFEs), creating an optimized view of your assets. Configurable Dashboard Links: Dashboard table widgets now support custom actions and links for each row. Set destinations to other pages within Intelligent Assets or external sites, and customize display names and icons for each action. Actions and links can be easily added, edited, duplicated, or removed, providing flexible, row-specific navigation to improve your workflow. Read more about this feature here.
