Austin, TX | March 1, 2018— ClearBlade, Inc., a leading enterprise edge computing and Internet of Things (IoT) software company, announced today that James Weir has been named Chief Financial Officer (CFO), expanding ClearBlade’s executive leadership team. Mr. Weir will lead ClearBlade’s finance department and be responsible for overseeing the company’s corporate and non-technical operations.

Mr. Weir brings to ClearBlade over 12 years of legal, finance, and operations experience working with private equity firms, institutional investors, and Fortune 500 companies. Most recently, Mr. Weir was chief operating officer of an award-winning, Austin, TX-based green-tech company where he oversaw daily operations and prepared the company for its commercial launch. Prior to moving to Austin, TX, Mr. Weir practiced law in New York, NY, where he was recognized as a leading securities attorney.
